Now Decathlon do deliveries I'm looking at their cheapy lycra shorts (the sport bibs) for commuting purposes. Are they any good or just cheap tat?

Thanks!

Decathlon kit tends to be decent but not 'high' quality.
They have a large european base, so can afford to buy in bulk, but don't mistake them for a cheap and nasty supplier.

I use their ones with the red "sport" chamois that seem to be 16 quid at the moment. Got them 'cos my mentality usually goes "one up from basic spec" but they are fine. Used the cheaper ones and they were ok but prefer the red ones.

I also use the bibs with the red chamois. No, it isn't as good as my Giordanas, but it's more than good enough for plenty of the riding I do (commuting, track, road training, all MTBing).

In fact, I might buy another pair..!

Sorry for thread hijack, but:-
Does anywhere do some alright 3/4 lycra shorts for not much cash too?

Oh yeah Decathlon shorts- I've got a pair of the baggys and they serve me fine at trail centres, tend to reach for the enduras when I've got a long day of XC in the diary though.
Haven't tried the Bibs though...I'm not really helping am I? ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I bought mine maybe 2 years ago and they are still going strong, no complaints at all. I just have their lycra shorts for inside baggies, as opposed to bibs, but am sure they came from the same line.

Got the lycra shorts about 8.50 a pair, bought two pairs and then as they fitted so well bought another 2 pairs, and they have a 2 year guarantee, for some reason.

I have their baggies, they seem to be ok but the inner isnt shaped to fit my bum so i tend to wear just the outer over a set of ib shorts

I've got a fair amount of Decathlon riding gear, the quality's not the best, but is certainly adequate. At those prices I'd certainly recommend the stuff.

I ride most days and have about 4-5 pairs of the cheap 8E liners and they're my favourites, over the DHB ones and the Endura ones I've got.

i have the cheapo light bluey / white shapless chamois and the more expensive (still v. cheap!) red chamois and prefer the cheaper ones. must wear baggies over the top though as the cheap lycra is v. nasty looking, not a problem under baggies though ๐Ÿ˜€ will defo buy more
