anyone ridden here ?
Nope, will be in September though 😀
We will also be in the area in september so watching with interest
I have seen that there is a 45 km singletrack ride in the area

I always wanted to do the Davos 10000. Ten thousand vertical meters, all different trails but all the ups with ski lift. You need to be fast to do it in one day though.
I went last year and stayed in Klosters. It's a nice place, really pretty and in summer you have the town mostly to yourself.
There's a healthy mix of trails ranging from a downhill trail in Klosters to big long signposted alpine days out. If you're after Morzine style gnar it's not the right place but a five to six inch bike will see you right.
We stayed at Hotel Wynegg which was pretty cheap, something like £250 for a week per room. Their restaurant was amazing and one of the owners, Cedric, is a keen rider who can tell you where to find the secret trails.
In the Summer the hotels are cheaper and just ticking over. You get a free lift and public transport pass with your hotel which was great.
Plenty of other stuff to entertain yourself with, the heated outdoor pool in Davos is pretty good!

I know the area well - used to live there.
A plethora of trails. Nearly all natural - very little in the way of man made. The A Line in Klosters is about it. IIRC it's a 6km DH run with about 1000m of vertical.
The natural stuff is quite techie, particularly the more difficult trails.
Highlights wound be the IMBA Epic starting in Davos & finishing 30ks later with most of the trails (20+Ks being single track).
It's also possible to get upto some of the alpine huts (Kesch Hutte for e.g.) for an overnight stay - though this is not a nights sleep that's easily obtained. I did it a few yrs ago & had to hike-a-bike for more than 1000m to get over one pass.
There's also the Engadin which has good biking & it's possible to ride from Klosters to Lenzerheide.
Swiss public transport is probably the best in the World.
I'd still be there, but it's an expensive place to live!
I have it on my list (Klosters). I have skied quite a bit in Arosa and Lenzerheide and had a day in Klosters, friends regularly ski tour Arosa to Davos then take mountain railway back and I have seen write ups of similar mtb trips. You can do some big point to point days and use the brilliant public transport (train amd post bus) to link it up. Mountain railway Chur to Arosa is a lovely trip. My idea would be 7-10 days in the area exploring the different possibilities with a couple of big point to pointers. I have no doubt you could put together an epic tour of the region, bike packing / huts / hostels. As lifts runnfor walkers and trains all year round I think possibilites are very exciting. Needs research as I know in Arosa they keep bikes off the big cable car. Davos is quite a big town/city and a bit functional in it's architecture. Train Zurich airport to any of the places around is very good, slight inconvenience of changes airport-city-chur. It's a couple of hours drive to (say) Arosa or Klosters by rental car.
looks great , so loads of marked trails which sound good ?
Spent close to 2 weeks in Davos in 2013 and then moved to St Moritz for a further 2 weeks. Unbelievable, natural riding and couldn't recommend it more. Trying to get back out this summer. Search on Pinkbike for a group of Canadian's review of their trip to Switzerland (think he's called Lelau) where they've got loads of maps you can download for garmin or alike.
@nobby marked as in footpaths yes. IME the trails I saw marked with VTT signs where mostly fireroads with bods in lycra. This applies everywhere I have ridden in Switzerland (Verbier, Montreux/Roche du Naye, Haut Jura, Swiss side of Chamonix)
Go to Switzerland Mobility website and switch on waking paths and vtt and compare. IME the best mtb trails are the natural walking ones as vtt focused on riding up rather than descending.
You can ride pretty much any trail you like - it's one of the few cantons in Switzerland that has no restrictions whatsoever, there is a code of conduct though so please stick to it:
"In Davos Klosters walkers and mountain bikers use the same paths without limitations. This is made possible by a tolerant and careful attitude by all parties. Mountain bikers brake to walking pace when overtaking and stop at crossroads with narrow paths, in order to allow space for walkers. In turn, pedestrians accept mountain bike riders as equal path users and allow them to pass wherever possible and sensible, when the two meet each other on a path."
Please don't do anything which might skew the perspective of MTBS - currently the locals are quite pro!
