getting a frame resprayed, but i think i have a datatag wotsit in the seat tube. i realise the tag is probably going to be ruined whilst the frame is in the oven, but will there be any other issues?

if so, what can i do about it?

Judging by my experience of leaving some bushings in a set of pedals that I had painted, any plastic stuff that goes into the oven will end up as a greasy smear. I don't know what goes into a Datatag exactly, but I'd guess at worst you'll have to clean the BB threads. It may also be of interest that the police in Bristol have been doing fairly regular events recently where you can get your bike tagged for free.

Surely free police tagging is just a UV pen or something - not a radio chip?
