Going to Dalbeattie at the weekend with the boy. The blue route is only a mile or so longer than the green. Will it keep him interested enough for that long as it looks like a lot of it is fire road.
Or do I just take him on the green and see if I can seek out some interesting bits? I've never been so could do with some guidance.

There's a skills loop at the start too, well worth a play on, for you and the wee fella, and also some nice singletrack between the trail head and town wood as well (the first car park as you leave Dalbeattie town on the lhs heading for trail head.
