well my trusty camelbak hawg is startign to die, need a new pack and the Dakine Nomad gets good reviews. I would like a new pack that has pockets next to the waist strap and can't tell from the photo's if the Dakine has them. Teh deuter packs do but the bladder access is pants in the Deuter ones. Anyone got a nomad and can give me some more info / recommendation.

Cheers

the nomad doesn't have pockets *in* the waist strap like some do (for coins, keys etc) but you can reach the two zipped side pockets without taking the pack off. these are easily big enuff for energybars, phone, small camera etc. hth!
