My all time favourite road forks are WCS Carbon. On both my Enigma fixed and Charge titanium gravel bikes and only 400g each. Not to mention the stems and bars on various bikes. UCI presumably demanding their pound of flesh.

Why not just swap two of the colours. Pretty sure most people wouldn't notice. If the yellow and green were the other way around, would anyone notice? Plus it's two fingers up to the UCI.

Rats, had been eyeing up some of the WCS carbon CX forks (pretty much made for me, canti mounts but clearance for 45mm gravel tyres 😎 ).

Will have to pray there's still some old stock by the time I can afford them

I have precisely those forks. They are fabulously light. Mine came from an old Swiss Cross frame that was written off by a car. Road forks came from EBay.

They'll be even lighter without the sticker

I think the new grey looks much better TBH. More classy.

IMGP3028
Does this mean I’m going to have to pay a licence fee to the UCI to ride my bike?

Surely just because they can't stick a pretty coloured sticker on them it doesn't mean they have to stop making them. It would be daft to stop making them, even if they just need a little bit of a rebrand?

<Edit> and now having read the rest of the article it sounds like that's exactly what they're doing, so I don't really see what the problem is.

My view of the UCI gets dimmer with each passing day

If you're desperate to promote a sporting cartel, you can just Buy this and go nuts all over your bike 😉

Personally I never quite understood the desire for a Ritchey/UCI connection.

I don't think even the UCI would be that cruel to a blind man.

I had some Ritchey WCS alloy bars on my fixed wheel (road) commuter. Incredibly light and stiff. They weren't much different from the carbon version other than price.

Always had a soft spot for Ritchey even though I sold my P20 a few years ago. Sad to see the stripes go

This a shame, had lots of WCS bits and pieces over the years. Instantly recognisable with the little rainbow
