Hi,
Has anyone had bike work done at the CycleSurgery in Didsbury?
Thinking about asking them if they can look at my Demo8's rear shock. There's play in the shock bushings and I don't think it's set up correctly for me. I'm pinch flatting all the time, even with the tyre pumped up like a beast!
It feels like I'm really wallowing the rear travel, if you know what I mean?
Really don't think that's the place to take it pal, I would recommend NWMB in cheadle. Not cheap to know what they are doing...
Thanks for the info, I'll try and pop over there ๐
Yep - I think CycleSurgery seem to be more of a sales place than a service place.
North West Mountain Bikes are the logical place to go. They are a Specialized dealer and handle all the Santa Cruz and Steve Peat Syndicate bikes.
^^^ That's reassuring. ๐
I only asked about Cycle Surgery as I'm working 5 mins round the corner.
I'm wondering whether to just get a new rear shock for the bike. The bike was 2nd hand and I don't know the service history. Would like to get it running nice ๐
Seems to be a few good deals on rear shocks at the mo, just trying to find out the Demo rear shock length.....proving difficult...
They pricematch very swiftly at the Didsbury branch 8)
chrisdiesel- if your about at Llandegla I quite fancy a ride there.
On the beach in Dubai at the min pal so the commute to llandegla would be a right slog!!!
Cycle Surgery exists to sell really expensive kit to BMW X5 and Range Rover drivers who notice it when sat in solid traffic on the parkway, on their commute out of town back to their leafy cheshire suburb, and have read in the Times Sunday supplement that cycling is quite the thing nowadays.
NWMB is the obvious choice. Ken Fosters in Chorlton are also really good for servicing, but tend to be more roadie orientated
Bah! ๐
ah b*gger! I noticed Cycles surgery when sat in solid traffic on the parkway, on my commute out of town back through leafy cheshire suburb, and have read in the Times Sunday supplement that cycling is quite the thing nowadays
but in my Skoda ๐
They have 25% off MT500 Endura shorts instore at the moment (not on their site- just instore). Plus 40% of other shorts etc too.
Worth popping in IMO.
NWMTB is only another 5 mins down the road from cycle surgery anyway, and for what you want they're the glaringly obvious choice. i bet they'd be able to tell you all the spec info you want on the shock too. they know their stuff in there.
pop into cycle surgery to buy stuff in the sale. they're good for that.
