any ideas,changed bottom bracket,greased seat post,checked for cracks in frame,makes creaking sound both in and out of saddle,any new ideas appreciated thanks.
cleat clips on the way out on your spds - spray them with something wd40 and then try it. I spent ages looking for a creak and found the above to be the culprit...
Gear cables? Actually quite common, if you take the ferrules off the outers, especially around the head tube end of the top & down tubes, check if any strands of metal are sticking out, if they are trim back the outer & refit, problem solved.
Possibly the suspension link bearings, usually the bottom ones. Assume you've have the bike at least a year, maybe approaching two years.
Mine was frequently but inconsistently making a fairly sharp cracking noise. Just had all mine changed.
I have an early Trance and had a creaking problem. I found that it was the bearings in the Maestro link. Fitted Enduro Max full race bearings and it was fine.
