[#686484]

Replaced the Hones on my Pace recently with SLX, and i dont like them (the look of them that is).

I only changed them over as i had intended to run the SLX's single ring on my Flow, but sheared two Torq keys trying to remove the rings, so had to swap them over for the Hones, which are trusty hex key bolts..but i digress.

Id like some cranks that are predominantly black, so can anybody recommend any?

It's currently a toss up between RF Atlas, and Truvativ Noir, but i have no experience with either, being a purely Shimano man for years.

Truvativ Firex or Stylo are mainly black?

Shimano Deore in black?

FSA Moto look like they come in quite a smart gloss black?

Aren't the Atlas more all mountain and the Noir more xc??

not yet but I have done many a RF BB change if you don't over tighten the crank bolts there fairly easy to swap out, unfortunately most companies insist on doing them up far to tight and can be a right bitch to get off. A two foot scaffold pole is more than a match for any RF crank though ๐Ÿ™‚

FSA Gravity Light - if I were to replace my Hones with something, this would be it.

Maybe i should be more specific, Im aiming more at the Noir end of the scale than the Deore, and its to go on an all mountain bike, just i got offered a good deal on some Noirs.

FSA's look ok, but dont like the Clear Bash. Cant decide between double or triple either.....

Whatever you reckon, haven't been to a trail centre as of yet.
I'll happily admit to being a biketart though, as would 50% of those on here. ๐Ÿ˜€
