Looking at getting a set of black chili 2.2's but not used anything other than 60a kevlar 2.35 high-rollers. For anyone that has used rubber queen what are your thoughts/experiences with them?

Hugh

Have used the 2.2 tubeless and 2.2 tube version. Very good tyre, rolls well and big volume. Can be run at lower pressures because of there volume and better for it.

Was a bit worried about the sidewall thickness on the 2.2 tubeless version, which seems to have been vindicated.

Great tyre up until the point it left me stranded halfway down a great descent last weekend.

Bloody hell! How did you manage that? I've hit waterbars and steps so hard its flat spotted the rim and loosened spokes, but never did that to my 2.2 UST tyre.

Is that a result of sideways action over rocks or something?

There were some loose pointy rocks knocking about and I wasn't hanging about, but nothing I've not ridden a hundred times. Probably just bad luck.

Got the 2.4's and love them. The 2.2 tubeless is out now.

The problem is that the 2.2 don't have the sidewall protection that the 2.4s have - seems a bit daft to me

Got the 2.4s, they're great. Used to be a High Roller fan but these are even better.

thats just bad luck mate, i managed a much smaller hole in the side of non protection MK on sunday, but with the results. Luckily it was on the last descent of the day. and a bodge got me home.
But i'm still fancying a pair of RQ's
