I asked that question 4 hours ago and haven't had a reply.
Maybe folks on this forum don't actually ride ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

Cannock (follow the dog) was brilliant this afternoon. Very dry in most places, one or two muddy patches. No snow. It was also empty!

Llandegla yesterday afternoon was unrideable so much frozen films of water on the trails couldn't climb anything, had more grip on my bike than on my feet, new tyres , 20psi no grip.

Llandegla is shut due to ice, so we went to the Clwyds instead, which has partly thawed and very slippy & muddy

Was out around Cannock this morning, rolling really fast on the frozen ground. Not too slippy either, only one crash and that was a bar/tree interface issue!

I arrived at Llandegla at about 8.30 this morning and found the access road covered in black ice. I was 50:50 whether to try and make the hill, when the car in front of me slid on the ice and crashed into the back of the car in front. I got out to check they were ok, and at the same time saw another 4 cars further up the hill who had all had a coming together ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I turned back and told each driver who I saw coming up the hill not to bother, but most decided to try it anyway....

I rode up shortly after and found most of the trails treacherous apart from the bits under the trees. I rode half the red then took the blue back. Bit of a waste of time tbh.

Much the same for me at Llandegla today. Got there at 1pm and rode the black - it was rubbish TBH. I don't mind climbing provided it pays off - but at Degla today it was awful. You were either washing out or constantly worried about doing so. I couldn't look up cos I was constantly worried about ice. Plus, where it was thawed u'r was muddy and slow. Not worth the mileage at the moment.

Its warmed up a fair bit overnight round here (8m from Cannock). So good bet that the mud will start loosening up.
