[Closed] Conditions at cannock chase ?

Cold and wet. Will be for the next few months.

I was planning a lap of the Dog/Monkey but given that other thread I think I'll get the road bike out instead.

I wouldn't bother, seriously. Never seen it so bad. The trails need to be closed to let them recover between now and spring !

Same here, haven't had a proper ride on my mtb for ages as well 🙁

There yesterday and its bloody awful. Mud, mud and more mud. Absolutely shocking. In fact it needs shutting as the trails are getting wrecked. I'd not bother!

night riding there last night was ace, thick fog, swampy conditions, slippery roots.... proper riding, none of this nambypamby "ooo it's a bit wet/cold/dark, I think I'll just stay at home nonsense" 😉
