Hi, i'm going to cannock chase tomorrow and was just wondering what the conditions was ?

Going by this thread, and the ice I saw there Tuesday just prior to the thaw, it's very muddy

I was planning a lap of the Dog/Monkey but given that other thread I think I'll get the road bike out instead.

I wouldn't bother, seriously. Never seen it so bad. The trails need to be closed to let them recover between now and spring !

did a night ride tonight and its terrible,only did one section of the dog an the rest was natural stuff

I think I'll get the road bike out instead.

Same here, haven't had a proper ride on my mtb for ages as well ๐Ÿ™

There yesterday and its bloody awful. Mud, mud and more mud. Absolutely shocking. In fact it needs shutting as the trails are getting wrecked. I'd not bother!

night riding there last night was ace, thick fog, swampy conditions, slippery roots.... proper riding, none of this nambypamby "ooo it's a bit wet/cold/dark, I think I'll just stay at home nonsense" ๐Ÿ˜‰
