[#1337405]

Went out for a ride last night. All was well until just about the furthest point from home when it suddenly got very cold. In the last 5 miles before we got back I had to wimp out a few times to warm my hands ad when I eventually got home my fingers were so cold I couldn't undo my helmet buckle.

Great ride, crap gloves!

Message to self: stop being tight and get yourself a new pair of winter gloves. Oh yes, and before anyone else says it MTFU!

Are there any warm gloves out there that aren't too bulky and whose liners don't come out whenever you take them off?

Buy some silk glove liners, they work for me.

I got some silk glove liners a few years back from Ellis Brigham. I also have some merino ones which are warmer, possibly from Blacks/Ellis Brigham.

Liners under normal gloves or ideally windproof gloves are more than warm enough for me. I do generate a lot of heat when I'm cycling though.
Also gives you the benefit of fine tuning your insulation.

Latest issue of the mag has a review of some Fox gloves that are recommended I think.

Can't comment personally as i am in the same position as yourself with cold fingers!

i normally wear a pair of thin wool gloves that i bought for 99p out of my local newsagents under my summer gloves and they do the job, well have all this winter, plus you get the added bonus of being able to feel your grips

Any thin liner gloves from a bike or walking shop are worth keeping in your pack for just such a situation. Make a huge difference
