Sweat box. Normal jacket, jersey on the outside? Or fox if you must.

Plenty out there you need to decide what you want from it.

I have one by Lusso. Not that breathable so a bit sweaty but if I'm wearing a jacket racing then the conditions are grim and I'll be getting wet regardless of what I wear so I might as well be warm. Its main benefit is that it has a bit of stretch which means I can get one that it is fitted and doesn't flap.

Sottile looks like the same idea - they do a short sleeve version too, on offer on crc if you are a large.

Wiggle did do one but for the time being I think it is not in their range.

There are other cheap options, a good bet would be to browse the likes of CRC, wiggle, merlin, probikekit and ribble to see what is on offer. Sizing is critical I had to take a sewing kit to my gillet as while it is super light it is not designed for a svelte racer so ends up being a bit of a parachute.

Depending on what level you are racing at you might get away with a cheaper black gilet. If you find one with a mesh back you can pin your numbers too it. I know in most 3/4 races I would stay well clear of anyone attempting to change clothing - very dangerous in a racing bunch. In the NE some of the comissairs are understanding that every race is like a spring classic so the rule is that they need to see your number if you intend to score points so plenty just pull up the jacket or jersey over the number on the last lap or in the last 5 miles.

Go the other way and look at the motorcycle industry - they've been doing them for years.
Respro are the main one.

I've got the Endura one and it's very good.
There is a review here

It is available in clear white as well as the green and black. The Endura sizing guide has me between an extra small and small but I needed a medium to fit across the shoulders.
