So my new Chris King BB arrived this morning. Am off sick from work today so have some spare time, but should I fit it now or should I let my XT get trashed over winter and fit the CK when it's "summer"?
why fit it at all? just sit and look at it forever more. that way itll never wear out. 🙄
fitted mine yesterday, about 2 hours after buying it because thats how long it took me to get home.

The point of the CK BB is that you can re-grease it regularly and extend it life well past the point of any other BB, winter or not....
Basically make a decision on what you want to do with the XT.
Anyway for the 10-15 minutes it takes to transfer HT II BB's, one of the reason I love them, it's hardly a job that needs a lot of time to complete.
