Seeing the Tweedlove Islabike children's events is really inspiring - I'd love to get my boy involved with something like that.

Anything going on for kids & families near you?

My lad has entered a few of the Yorkshire Cyclocross races. In the winter they are held on Sunday mornings. Which is good, But lots of the summer races are on Wednesday evenings which is rubbish if they have school the next day and the race is an hours drive away, so we haven't done any of those yet.

Yak - I'm in Dorset, so might be possible. Any more details or a link? Cheers.

Also, just interested to see what's going on in general.

Here's the link:
http://www.southernxc.net/

It's at Crow Hill in the New Forest this coming Sunday, so not too far from you. 9 and under is the youngest category, then upwards from there. Lots of kids of all abilities giving it a go.

Pop along if you fancy it.

There's free kids coaching too from British Cycling coaches.

Nice one, thank you. :o) He's only four, so might leave it a couple of years!
