From... Planet X, Decathlon, Go Out doors...eBay! Blah, blah. The usual suspects.

Needs to be available in the big sizes too. Xxl etc.

For use on the North/South Downs etc, so nothing extreme needed!

Any one found a bargain out there? £30 ish.

Thanks guys!

I once found a jacket in Decathlon (their own brand) with 50% off so its worth going to a store for a look in their clearance bit. I think i paid about £40. Its perfect for cold windy days. Its too warm when the temperature is over about 8 degrees though.

Thanks guys,I should have mentioned, need one with a bit of insulation rather than a thin packable waterproof as already have one.

So basically a thin fleece lined type thing.👍

Have a browse in the Polaris site, you might stumble across something suitable. I saw some Gore Running jackets in TKMaxx a few weeks ago, very cheap. May be worth a look in a local one to see if they have anything.

Haven't checked, but there's something from Polaris that I'm sure is quite well regarded - an enduro or something? Windproof fleecey front, breathable back

Polaris AM Vapour? I have one, its great, Poop. £35. Just started wearing it again as it's turning cooler and layered up will work all winter.

https://www.polaris-bikewear.co.uk/category-s/134.htm

Medium fits me well, I'm med in MTB stuff from most places.

^^ That Vapour looks good but is it waterproof? Does say fast drying but doesn't mention waterproof?

I'm not sure if that reminds me of a dalek or someone wearing Darth Vader's helmet.

Its not taped seams waterproof but it breathes, is windproof and dry enough.

Nice touches are the thorn proof shoulder patches and large zippy pockets.

.. I'm thoroughly annoyed they don't still have the AM Vapour XXL in stock, as the large didn't fit my shoulders, but it looked so good a jacket I almost kept it.

Just an update.

Decided to go for something without fleece inside as I run hot even in the winter. Being unfit had its benefits!

Went for the Alpkit Arro in the end. Arrived today. Not tried it out on the bike yet but fit and feel of it is excellent. 👍

Worth looking a ronhill stuff as it is likely to breath well as it is primarily for running. I used to have several and they were good.
