Just been given a Tacx Flow turbo so going to put the old 26" hardtail on it to do some training.
I need a tyre for the rear so what's the best (cheap) one to get?
Something like a Schwalbe Silento for £13?

The Silento would be fine, but at that price point I'd say the City Jet (£15) would be better - it's got less ridges.

If you're willing to go up to £22 this would be even better:

Why not buy a proper turbo tyre? Decathlon have 26" turbo tyres for £13 in stock.

I've had some normal tyres melt on me on and go pop on the turbo. Sometimes they last ok, but I've had 3 years+ out of the proper turbo tyre.

Picked up a City Jet as in stock at local H.
Seemed OK on the 1st try yesterday so, if I stick with it, can get a proper tyre once this one wears out.
