Has anyone done the trail off of the Serpentine called The Monkeys Ass that takes you down to the lake if so how difficult is it.
Oh I think I've done that one. steep and rocky with sharp switchbacks. This starts as soon as you go into the woods. It was tough, probably one of the toughest I had done upto that point (2013), but I've done tougher or more technical since.
You need to be brave and good at picking the right line. I'd wear flats 🙂

I remember hitting that first rock garden in the wet like my hair was on fire one year many moons ago. A major oh crap moment
