Recently bought a short sleeved Gabba with a view to get their arm warmers too as they are waterproof. Does anyone else make waterproof arm warmers? I already have some older Endura non-waterproof ones that will mean wet arms if I get caught in rain. Are the Castelli ones that good? £35 seems steep for what they are...

I have a pair along with the knee warmers and they are excellent. One of my favourite bits of riding gear.

Sportful No Rain are similar as are DHB Rain defence. Should be able to get those cheaper.

They are the only ones I have ever had that have not gone baggy at the elbows ( make sure you get the correct size though, assuming they still come in 3 sizes). Mine are aver 5 years old and I don't think they were ever advertised as waterproof, just as water resistant (the water beads on the surface but if it really gets heavy they do get wet). I treat them with TX Direct every so often which seems to keep the resistance in place

To anyone else that is interested,I got GripGrab (high viz)arm warmers to match my short sleeved Gabba. They have been very good and I like that they go more wetsuit than water repel. They come up on Wiggle (in the summer 😉 )for £23 in the sales.

Most bike brands seem to have something along those lines these days. Stolen Goat do some too...

Nice to have options as you could well end up trying a few before finding ones that fit nicely!

The gropgrab hi viz ones were less than £11 last week, I was tempted to get some but didn't for some reason

The castelli ones are very very good.
If you wanted a cheaper alternative you could treat your current endura pair with a wash in DWR

Roughly the same price as the Nanoflex ones but work really well if you don't want to look like Castelli man.

As above, look after them well and keep on top of the DWR and they'll bead the water off. As with the Gabba they'll eventually give up in persisant rain.

i have them, but shop about as i only paid 20quid, maybe 25tops.

i went for a large, i heard horror stories about them being tiny, but i reckon i could have gotten away with a med they are not that stupidly small as some people make out. i wear a large gabba btw.

havnt worn them in rain so cannot comment, the only thing i find is that they are noticeably chillier than the gabba itself.

like them though, definitely glad i went with short sleeve gabba and warmmers not a full l/s gabba. in fact just sat down at the pc to find a deal on some of the same in knee warmers for the early spring.

They are a bit cooler, I normally go for something lined if it's just cold and no rain.

That's what I love about the SS Gabba, the option to change warmers according to conditions.
