Anyone seen the white version in the flesh?

I've spent ages pondering over which shorts to get and settled on these, but the only ones left in my size are the white ones. Not the most sensible colour for mtb'ing/CX and they don;t hide much, especially when wet I'm guessing. Guess I'll probably wear them under baggies most of the time though.

Otherwise I think I'll get the Morvello.

Cheers

I have a set of White Velocissimo's, For road they are ok if you use them in the summer on dry roads.

For MTB forget it if you want them to remain remotely white.

Bugger, that's a pity. Thought it would be the case, but wanted someone to tell me it'd all be alright ๐Ÿ™

Thanks.

I've got a pair of the Free Aeros in white. They are more of a light grey now, but they would probably whiten up again with a good dose of that rub in prewash stuff. They are a very nice short but as with some Castelli clothing they are not robustly made. The pad on mine is held in place by a single stitch rather than something sturdier like flatlock. So basically eventually the arse has fallen out of my shorts.

Hmm, thanks. I really want a pair of good shorts for long rides, and that look sans baggies.

Assos were on the list but not everyone rates the newer stuff too highly. Other options I'm considering are morvello or rapha. Any other recommendations?

Not that particular version, but have used Campinissimo evo's, Mille's, Uno's for mtbing, nice comfy shorts, same rule, white doesn't stay white. I suspect yellow is also a stupid choice, but titan, black, etc should be fine.

I'd recommend Sportful, they own Castelli, (as I understand it), use the same fabrics, but are slightly cheaper.

Our club kit is made by them and as a result I've picked up a few of their pieces and have been impressed by the fit and function.
