I'm thinking of retiring my Canyon Yellowstone.

What should I replace it with? Definitely want 29er, will also be used for towing and family rides.

I want something that climbs amazingly ( no pedal strikes unlike my FS ) but is still capable for Peak District descending

Will the Grand Canyon be slack enough or should I go Stoic?

Cheers

Personally I’d take the stoic - it has more modern geometry. 65 degrees isn’t that slack and it’s got a slightly steeper seat tube than the Grand Canyon / shorter seat tube etc / the reach size for size is about 20mm longer.

The Grand Canyon is older trail bike geometry and I’d probably class it as an xc bike now to some extent. The medium only has a reach of 435mm vs 455mm for the medium Stoic.

I’ve never ridden the peaks but I’m assuming you get a lot of longer / rockier bridleway type descents - the more stability you have the better - you’ll get less tired descending.

Any hardtail really can do the child duties of towing / easy rides.
