Apologies first up if I'm treading old ground with this, but I would like a bit of advice regarding the following:
Having spent the past 10 years happily riding my Orange P7 up hill and down dale I've come to a point where its time to get my first full sus.
Having test ridden the 29" variety last summer, I'm looking at the 27.5" version of Canyons Nerve AL.
My query relates to peoples feelings on the merits of two different versions as shown below:

My question is do people feel that the extra £300.00 for the 8.0 over the 7.0 is warranted when for that price I could get a Reverb fitted and upgrade the brakes to XT for example whilst selling off the Avids?
If people can tell me that the XT parts will last any longer than the SLX then that may alter my opinion, or if the wheels are significantly better.
Thoughts please....
Im off to london tomorroe to have a look at these.... I personally have ridden with both xt and slx and there really isn't much in it. As for the wheels.... dont really know.
