Currently building up an Aluminium Rush. Was almost finished then realised I have nowhere for the Front Deraileur cable outer to be anchored...so It seems I require a 'BB single cable guide', Cannondale part no. KF085..
Does anyone have one?!! Or know where I can get one, google only giving me a german company, 'Dr Cannondale'...

Something on here ought to work, what you need is something that looks like this:

I do have one spare, but I'm keeping it as my existing one on the bike is quite tatty now so will need replacing. I have used a generic guide on another 'Dale frame and it worked fine. Doesn't matter if it's a single or double guide at all.

Thanks Elfinsafety - do they work on a Rush? The Cable outer needs to be anchored though and it doesn't look like that type of guide will not provide a proper/good seat for it?

Actually not very impressed by the cable routing for any of the cables. I have the plastic bushes that go in the clips on the frame, but it's all a little bit saggy....do you have the same issues on a Rush?

Without seeing your BB I can't really tell tbh. I've used guides like the second pic on a 'Dale frame with a 'standard' BB shell. has yours got a larger BB shell?

I'm thinking a V-brake cable noodle could be used, but then ittud need to be attached somehow to the frame. Bit of tape ought to hold it really, as it's going to be held in place by cable tension.

Used Dr Cannondale before, fast efficient + helpful if not bargainful.

If it's the same as a prophet the outer cable stops further up the down tube but you still a specific cable stop.

I've got a spare one and the inner guide for the bottom of the bb shell from a prophet if they're any use.

This is the part the Rush manual prescribes.

CokeItUpAndWatchItSmoke thanks for offer, but there is no cable outer stop on the down tube, so as you can see from the pic, this plastic widget stops the cable....will try dr.cannondale and see if I can make something up that is a bit more robust....

On my cannondale (not a rush), the outer us anchored right at the top of the down-tube then runs from there all the way to the deraileur with the inner only. ie there is only 300mm of outer from the shifter to the top of downtube. Surely your's is like that?

That's what I think Chris. The cable stop on the down tube looks like a normal cable guide until you look at it properly.

That kf085 is only a guide for the inner cable, it doesn't house the outer at all.

Hi there, my rush Carbon is exactly as described.

If you need some pics just let me know.

Ive used Dr Cannondale more than once, a great parts source, just a bit steep on the postage ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks , makes sense now. Have looked at the set of cable routing braze ons at top of down tube & still can't see how any of them will work as an anchor for the cable outer.... But I have worked out how to make a cable end into an anchor by glueing it into a plastic ferrule.

you need one of these on the down tube if your homer doesn't work.

As I said I have one going spare and the guide for the BB. Drop me a mail if you want them. Cover postage and they're yours. I'll chuck in the cable guides I have as well.
