[#1464132]

I've got a circa '01 cannondale badboy which I used to commute on before I got my jake the snake and I am wondering what to do with it now. Would it stand up to being built into a rigid singlespeed Mtb for lightweight XC duties? Might ocasionally take it around a trail centre but wheels on the ground type riding.

Or should I split it and hit the cladsifieds?

Ride it. I did loads of off road stuff on mine with 80mm Bombers on and it was great.

I had a badboy rohloff which I stuck a lefty on and rebuilt with 26" wheels. It was awesome as a mountain bike. The geometry is the same as their mountain bikes, they just look a bit different.

Here was mine;

And I would pin too much hope on it being any lighter, the frames are quite overbuilt compared to caffeines and flash's etc

This is my current guise. Plan would be to shod it with Conti Speed King Supersonics and probably singlespeed it
