Clarks mineral oil is apparently a pale yellow but I notice third party bleed kits for Clarks brakes use a red Shimano type oil.

Is it ok if the 2 are mixed during a bleed?ย

Thanks as always!

Thanks mate.👍

Oh, I should add, I can't find the Clarks brand oil anywhere. Even on the Clarks Webby it won't let you add it to the cart so I'm assuming even they are out of stock. ☹️

Halfords stocks generic mineral oil for cycle brakes.

Shimano does their own brand mineral oil.

Magura blood is another option.

KTM motorcycles use mineral oil for their hydraulic clutch master cylinders and recommend Magura, but I've used both Halfords and Shimano in there.ย

I've used both Halfords and Shimano on MTBs also.

I think as long as it's pure mineral oil (baby oil can work apparently but the perfume in there can cause problems), you're good to go.
