I'm going to Europe in the summer for a couple of months of bumming around in the van, sightseeing and riding, and the starting point will be round 2 of the downhill world cup at Val di Sole.
Does anyone know their way around?
I want to know where would be the best place to stay either in the van or in a tent on a proper campsite but have easy access to where ever the world cup is being held. Is it like Fort Bill where the event is miles away from the town?
Also wouldn't mind some non-bikey activities nearby to sweeten up the girlfriend after a week of world cup action! We were thinking of camping at Lake Garda for a few days afterwards but open to suggestions.
I've never been to Italy and never driven in Europe so any hints and tips welcome. Tonnes of stuff on Google about the area but the personal recommendations are always the best.
Cheers!
If you plan to camp at Lake Gardia I can recomend you stay in the campsite by Boardalino, to me it was the nicest town on the lake.
You can then day trip to Venice, that should sweeten the misses.
