Anyone know if it's possible to retrofit (by the dealer) the Bluetooth module into a 2011-model Astra Exclusiv (it was the model below SRi, definitely)? Anyone any idea of cost?

Most likely, however finding out what module you would actually need is the biggest problem.

The last car I checked for this exact request, had all the brackets and wiring in place for the telephone module, however there are 3 different modules (UPH, UPI & UPJ). And nobody could tell me what one would or wouldn't work with the fitted radio. It also doesn't help that the descriptions given in the tech info system bear no resemblence to those in the parts catalogue.

That all sounds about right. I'll ring the dealer in the morning, and make it their problem.

There's a guy called Martin on the Insignia Enthusiast forum (there's an oxymoron for you...) who retrofits the system to the Insignia at about half the dealer price. I think he works for Vx so could do your Astra too.

If you've an AUX button it's a lot easier - search ebay for the cables; otherwise looks like hard work (and costly).

Answer from Vauxhall is yes, it can be done, but what exact functionality there will be depends entirely on which radio is in the car, which they will know only if I tell them (it's not on the database).

Wife has that car today...

Better than my experience with Merc. Vito came minus radio from factory, dealer tried to retrofit, three months of trying later (and after fitting missing wiring, computer, phone mic, and various connectors) found the speakers weren't there either 😀 Gave up at that point and bought me another one!

If you've an AUX button it's a lot easier

and a 3.5mm input:

Works really well, the inconvenience is that you have to press the aux button before dialling or receiving.
