It's a pass in the Lake District, goes from Haweswater over to Kentmere.
it's the pass between haweswater over t the kentmere valley, whichever way you go be prepared t push up. well worth it tho awesome views from't tops ๐
Is it a recommended downhill or just a tricky climb up?

Both!
Do it from Haweswater down to Kentmere. Long push/carry up but the descent is just amazing. ๐
Whatever way you do it though it's a LONG day out with a lot of climbing, be prepared!
I rode it last weekend, a long carry up (unrideable upwards from Haweswater) an absolute blast downwards towards Kenmire.
Did it last year.Yes the carry up from the small tarn above hawswater is a pain but its worth it for the views at the top and the technical decent down to kentmere is a cracker. Plan to do it again this year when it will be included in a big day out ive got planed.Four passes in one day;Garburn,Gatescarth, nan bield and then back over garburn in the opposite direction 8O.It should be a good day out if it doesn't kill us .
