Hello
Damn!!!
Was installing new cable in Shimano xtr gear shifter 12 speed, somehow the cable did not
catch on inside.... now i can see the head of the cable at the below port, where the
cable goes in...
no matter how much i rattle it, nothing happened... taking it apart sounds like building a rocket ship........ dremel time ???

Taking them apart is a bit of a job but you can take the lower cover off without anything going ping. If that doesn't give enough access then try plan b

All good !!!
took 2 screws out at the bottom, and managed to pry the cable out at the side..... probably not standard shimano procedure... but it worked 🙂
