Got some bad rattling from what I think is the internal cables when going over the rough. Driving me mad... anyone else had this and overcome it? Or know if it is the gear cables or brake cable along the top tube, can’t seem to work it out.

From memory the cables in the top tube don't have an outer so that's unlikely to be the source. Not much help, sorry.
I think mine does have an outer (rear brake) and the gear cables don’t
I’ve got a caad 12 disc and from memory all my cables go through the downtube.
So internal routing they’re just loose in their cables outers. I think I was lucky that mine didn’t rattle - but I’ve now gone di2 so there’s even less chance of rattle now as just 1 wire and 1 brake cable in the down tube 🤷♂️

My caad12 frame is rim brake so pretty sure there is a cable along the top tube.
