[#5848190]

Ive just about finished putting this together. Its been a while in the making.

Fed up of plastic road bikes and very fond of my titanium winter bike so thought Id try one of these. (Budget wouldn't stretch to a Moots!)

Haven't had the chance to ride it yet and given the current conditions it'll be spring before I get the chance.

Just bar tape to finish, would prefer something other than black but I'm aware it might look gash with anything else.

Cheers! Actually looking at that pic Im going to nudge the bars down in line with the stem not that I have OCD you understand.

Re the bar tape;

I like this

But it looks best on a black bike. Maybe some stitched like this;

That is a thing of beauty. Like the curve of the bars. Don't see many of those these days.

Cheers Picto. The bars are 3T Rotundo. Im used to a more ergo shape bar but these do look good, like the old Cinelli criterium bars.

You'll love it. They're sweet frames and you've put some great kit on it.

Used to have cinelli criteriums on my first real road bike back in the day.

Still have mine. Best frame I've ridden. Stiff but comfortable. I did however have a problem with the seat post slipping which I cured by running a gorilla clamp

I'd be interested to see if you get any discolouration around the welds over time. Enjoy it.

Whats the bar tape in your first pic? The black tape with colours underneath?

Im not so keen on the discoloration of the welds?

The pictured bar tape is Cinelli Caleido. Im still wanting to try it out, looks great on a black bike not so sure about titanium.

Out of curiosity what tube profiles did you opt for or just take a standard build?

BIGMAN;

I went for all round tube profiles with no bendy stays. I was looking for something very simple/subtle appearance wise. I wanted a Moots but couldnt afford it so its based on a Vamoots.

Ive got some nice low profile lightweight handbuilt wheels which suit it better to be honest. The RS80's were a vanity purchase.

I did opt for a replaceable rear mech hanger though.

I think it looks really bloody nice in the config you opted for. I like the finish too. Lovely piece of kit.

Heads up, because I'm nice like this - the Cinelli Caliedo bar tape referred to above is in the Planet X price drop sale.
