Hey guys,

I'm building up a budget Xc build with a chinese carbon hard tail 29er frame at the moment. The one component I'm really struggling to find anything decent for is the fork. My budget is between 200-300euro for the fork, any ideas? Travel in between 100mm to 120mm and weight is the main concern.

I'm leaning towards a Manitou market as they are around 1800g and in around my budget.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

I might have a RS Judy Gold for sale soon. Air fork, but unsure of weight. Came on my Chisel, but planning on swapping in a carbon fork.

If the usual big brands like Rockshox and Fox are out of budget you could look at a Suntour Epixon:

https://www.starbike.com/en/sr-suntour-epixon9-29er-suspension-fork-100mm/?currency=GBP&keep_params&gclid=CjwKCAjwwMn1BRAUEiwAZ_jnEin3KpExCrqgJqbeRPJvKgT-BaKKG8FqDYmkphBdy7_tceU1jlTf4hoCjCkQAvD_BwE#69165

I almost bought one, but got offered a secondhand revelation for £50 when I was looking so didn’t make the epixon purchase in the end. I believe they have alloy stanchions so are reasonably light and are meant to be ok for a budget air fork.
