So, now my shiny, new Giant Trance 2 is winging it's way to me, can you recommend me a decent droppy seatpost towards the lower end of the price range?
Got to be available in 30.9. Bar mounted control is not essential as I have got used to a lever on the saddle on my current one (won't fit the new bike and will be sold as part of my hardtail).
Cheers.
Bump!
Cheap Joplin from CRC? Will need servicing from time to time though I'm sure 🙂

Got a Reverb I'm about to put up for sale if you're interested? Complete with bleed kit and all the other gubbins, probably even a box. Used but better than a Joplin for sure!
The Giant Contact Switch is bloody good actually (most reliable post i've ever used) and its only £145 if you look around. can be converted to internal or external routing if needs be as well.
Do not buy a cheap Joplin, total sack of S...!
There might be a reason those Joplin's are so cheap 😉
@disconoir - how much for the post? Pics please email in profile...
Oi!! This is my thread.
Disco: Can you send pics and price to mike@skylinecad.plus.com?
Cheers.
Will try and send some pics tonight!
Cheers.
+1 for the Giant dropper, ive had mine on my Reign for nearly 2 years, cable been replaced twice and a squirt of fork juice or Lube when it gets sticky but its been great
I recently bought a mint condition Reverb on here - mark-free, used 4 times.
Posted for £90. It's bloody brilliant 🙂
The Nukeproof one?
What happened to those cheapo ones that were doing the rounds a while ago? I remember the names but I seem to remember they resembled the KS ones. Were they as crap as the price suggested?
Anyone used a KS Dropzone?
Bump!!

I've had a KS Eten for a while now and it works fine. It's only 100mm drop and I replaced the cable outer with brake cable outer to free up the action but apart from that it's OK if a little slow on the return.
The Nukeproof one?
IIRC the Nukeproof one is only available in 31.6mm ATM.
Anyone used a KS Dropzone?
I've had one for over 2 years, minimal maintenance, still working like new, can't fault it.
I've got a Dropzone on both my MTB's - smooth, faultless operation from them both so far. Got them from Hibike and they delivered quickly and with too many email progress updates!
Can you swap the lower part on your current one for the new diameter?
It's possible with a few of these posts and the price can be reasonable.
Worth investigating if you like it and it's been reliable.
ive got a dropzone - no faults at all and can be bought cheaply from germany with no issues
this is where i got mine, next day delivery and about £130 - http://www.bike-discount.de/en/praesenz/search/q-dropzone?q=dropzone
