Mate is offering to drive us from
Somerset. Thing is I usually work Sundays so any idea if this will be worth taking a day's holiday for?

Rheola used to be a cracking venue. Not sure if much has changed as not been for years.

Best bit to watch used to be Star Wars. A crazy muddy root-infested hell hole of a section. Used to see some proper carnage in there.

Remember watching Steve Peat sail through it one time like it ain't no thang..

I'd say it's a cool venue to watch but depends how much you like watching. I'd rather be riding it for sure.

Raced there last year in Welsh Champs for the first time.
I was Happy to get down in one piece, one hell of a gnarly track,in the wet, great fun, well worth checking out, proper DH track.
I didn’t see any spectators, in the Star Wars section, during the race, not actually sure if it was allowed, only saw a couple of marshalls, might be ok for the big race.
If it’s wet,it will a cracking race to watch!

The only comment I would make is regard parking - there's not enough space for the actual riders on race weekends, so you'll probably have to park some distance away and walk into event.

I wouldn't take a days holiday to watch it, personally.

It's a good old fashion Dragon DH track. It's been forever since I raced/uplifted there. Probably good fun to go back & do an uplift day again.

Can pretty much guarantee it will be raining 🙂
