Does anyone know the winners and times for the 100k? How was the course?
There was no winner as it was not a race.
ohhh sorry mr pedant! Anyone know who posted the quickest time around the 100km course whilst not racing anyone else?
Don't know for sure, But talking to someone who did the short route in under 4hrs, he reckoned someone came past him at about 100mph a good few miles from the finish !!!! Just have to wait and see if that was true.

him at about 100mph
Not unrealistic considering the amount of tarmac on the course.....
Results all up now. Only problem, everyone who signed up for 100k but did 60k or cut the course short ( some did accidently ) have their times listed in the 100k results. A bit flattering for some. Good job it wasn't a race.

138th/283 for me.
I don't know about 100mph, but I hit 73.5km/h at one point. 8)
Proof that I did the full 103km.

I noticed a woman sat on a chair just before a junction taking rider's numbers as they passed.
I can't remember now where she was, but I assumed she was on the long course checking who actually did it.
Was that the case and were the results corrected to take her records in to account ?
6 hours 2 mins here for 100 odd km route
That may explain why some 100km riders were in within 4 hours, average 25kph seems pretty amazing.
Believe the organisers of these things have to make the results impossible to determine where you came by lumping all distances together? ie you know you did the full distance so you know your time (and maybe your mates if you have their numbers) but can't tell where you came overall...if you can "place" yourself it's effectively a race and this causes insurance/ land use repercussions!
I did 5h35 for the long route and at the top of Sarn Helen, was told by the marshall I was in top 30. Passed what I thought was about 10 riders I believed to be on the 100k on the final road section, so I was disappointed to find I came in at low 40's.
I believe that anyone that opted out of the 100k but did the 60k and anyone that missed the cut off time and got re-routed were all lumped in as finishing the 100km. I also understand that several riders who got lost and took a shortcut were als down as fast finishers in the 100k. So, the results dont paint a full picture IMO.
Chatting to the guy parked next to me, who beleieved he finished 10th and finished not long before me, I am still convinced I came around 20th and I have to keep telling myself it's not a race (but it is isn't it, really, come on ๐ )...
Video's up.

Just a series of still photos, not a video.
That's me in the black & green at 1:30
And that's me on the opening shot, before you click ๐
I belive there were a few problems with the recording of times this year. Normally the number boards will have a mark on them to denote those doing just the 60k or those who missed the cut off. This will be rectified for next years event.
We do also have restrictions on how we show the results due to the beast being a enduro event and not a race.
Sorry if anyones position is incorrect. I hope you all choose to come back to tame the beast next year
