Following a couple of skills courses, I've started cornering a bit er..OK, a lot ๐ more aggressively. I've noticed that when really cornering hard, the front disc rubs slightly on the pads (or the pads rub on the disc?!!), making a sort of ringing sound. There's no trace of the pads catching in 'normal' riding and the wheel is as secure as I can get it with a std Shimano QR. The wheels are newish Hope Pro3's with no bearing play. Do you think this rubbing is down to the fork legs flexing?
Oh, for info, the fork is a Pace/DT XMC130 (or whatever they're called now) - which I gather are s'posed to be quite stiff(?)
