I've got Avid Elixirs on my bike atm & was wondering whether, when I wear the brake pads out, I'd be better sticking with Avid pads or going for some aftermarket ones, and if so what? Mainly riding XC.
Grateful for any advice from the panel.

I replaced mine with superstar and have been happy, saves cash for important bits like anodised bolts and all that cr*p!

just stuck some clarks in at the mo.
1/ squeaky, but will fade out
2/ heavy compared to avids own
3/ very cheap - 7 squid for sintered
4/ lasted quite well so far

sUperstar for me too - bit thicker made it a bit fiddly but braking us just as good and lasting just as well

Superstar Sintered perform as well as OEM and last just as long, also at a third of the price no contest...
