I need to swap the hoses between some juicy 3's and juicy 7's.(length issues HT to FS) The 3's have compression fittings at both ends, no problem LBS can supply necessary bits. The 7's however have a banjo type connector crimped on at the caliper end. LBS says they have to supply the whole hose with banjo in place at a cost of 30 odd quid per each? does anyone have any other theories?

Hope do universal kits with pretty much all the fittings and hose to suit everything included, or you could take a chance and try buying the fittings seperately and fitting them to your own hose.

CRC do a Goodridge kit for a juicy for £29 or all the fittings seperately

my Avid 7's were annoying, didn't want to pay out the money! (i;m in scotland so might as well adapt to the culture) but i found theres a place on ebay called bike fridge? also has the website brake disco i think, they sell braided hoses for about a tenner that fitted my 7's. They are a pain to cut and the fittings aren't resueable so i would advise asking the company to cut them to the size you need, but it was the cheapest option £20 all in for two new braided lines.
Btw my 7's are the non split clamp ones of 05 i think?
