Do the rims come tubeless ready with rim tape in place?
Mate has one and wants me to help him get it set up tubeless. Just figuring out if we need to tape the rim up and he's not sure what he's looking at.
I had the silver 2014/15 model with Revelations (rather than the current blue model with Pikes), and I'm pretty sure the rims weren't setup ready for tubeless.
If they're the same Mavic x319's that mine had they only have a 19mm internal width just to be aware of.
Didn't ever try to run mine tubeless - but then I only had 1 puncture in just over 2 years I had the bike.
Not tubeless ready, but I taped mine up with gorilla tape (one wrap) and they have been fine for eight weeks so far. It was my first time trying tubeless, replaced the stock tyres with tubeless ready magic Mary and Hans dampf and needed a blast of air to get them seated but other than that was straightforward.
They are only 19mm internal, but I did it as an experiment so pleased so far - will build some wider wheels up eventually, once I can decide what rims to use...
