[#3758798]

With a 140mm fork.

I was about to order a 18" bike but now reckon there might not be enough stand over. The Ragley website says about 32" I think, which would be too high for me at 5' 10", but that seems a bit unlikely looking at pictures of built up bikes and the general geometry.

And if anyone know the same measurements for 14" and 16" too that would be interesting for Ms AD

thanks

18" is for 6ft plus in my book... I found the 18" too big and I am 5' 11-1/2"
You would be 16" or maybe a 17 IMHO.

Wow, they sell 16, 18 and 20 inch off the peg. So I assumed I would be an 18. Ms AD also interested in a Ragley, maybe a Piglet, but is 5' 4" so looks to be out of luck.

Looks like I'm building up a 14" frame

Mmm, 5'10" myself and a 33" inside leg, maybe between sizes here.

Do you know where the 32" standover height quoted by Ragley is measured from, cant believe that is where the top tube meets the seat tube, seems very high.

My 18" Blue Pig has 31" of standover at approx 6" from the headtube / seattube junction (the 'knacker' position). That's with a 150mm fork and 2.4F / 2.25R tyres.

I'm 5'11" with a 31" inside leg and find the size spot-on for me.

OK, I'll try this, any one ridden a Prince Albert and switched to a Blue Pig? I had a 17" PA, which is why I'm not sure to go for a 16" or 18" blue pig. I'd err on the small side if it comes to it.

Yup, my previous frame was a 17" DB Prince Albert and I now ride an 18" Blue Pig X. I'm a ba' hair shy of 6ft 2" and I found the 17" PA a bit too cramped even with a 65mm stem and lay back post, although it was a hoot to ride on techy descents. The Blue Pig is a much better fit, with a 50mm stem and straight post, and despite it being bigger than the Albert it still feels chuckable when the goings gets tough. There's plenty of stand over height for me with my 34" inside leg but as Messiah said above folk under 6ft might find it a wee bit too big and stretched out due to the longish top tube.
I have 150mm Revelations on the Pig but they are a bit twangy so I'm going to swap them this weekend for a set of 36 Floats.

It was enjoying riding Yetimans 18" Piggy that made me buy this... 8)

... I bought the cheap Mmmbop as I thought it might be a bit big (and I wanted to try Alu)... and after extensive testing I come to the conclusion that it was too big... not by much, and only when really in the gnar did it bother me, but it did bother me enough to make me want a 17".

I also found it worked best with forks at 135-140mm and not the full 150mm I had... and that I really didn't get on that well with the flex of the Rev's so wanted a beefier fork.

Hence this 17" Ragley beaut with 36 forks (the Alu bit did not bother me so I stuck with it).

You do realise there is a 17" Mk2 Blue-Pig (Mk 1 is 16" and 18")
