I'm going to say it.... The Mavic Alpine shoes are so much better than the MTB standard issue Shimano AM45's 😯
I've been wearing the Shimano's for years but lately I've been getting fed up with cold wet heavey and numb feet at the end of a ride but I was staying loyal to what I knew. I bought the Mavic's for Xmas and hadn't tried them until Friday, wanting to get the very last shred of wear out of the 45's.
WHAT A DIFFERENCE THE MAVIC'S MAKE ! For a start they come in half sizes so they fit perfectly. They must be half the weight of the 45's and they actually have some grip when you have to bike hike. I was ankle deep in mud and feet stayed dry but more importantly the laces etc did as well so I could actually get them off too.
Only down side..... Look like I'm wearing shoes from Morrisons 😕
