Slacked off as the weather was going to be peachy and they were not wrong... Midweek biking, bery few people with ski bats or snowshoes. Lovely. Views from Santlis in Switzerland to Mont Blanc in France.

Are you allowed on the ski trails? There's something like a thousand euro fine in France. Not that we did at Fatbiking Europe winter camp

I've seen wurst.
It was near todtnauberg and is indeed Feldberg, 1400m. The Xc ski trails are a moot point. This one has bike trail signs all over the trail. I only know of three fatbikerists and never seen another in our area. I did nip down the ski piste at the very edge then disappeared down some singletrack.
Our area has a 2m law in the forest so any singletrack is illegal if under 2m wide. Long story and guarantees barbed comments every time however courteous I try to be. I think following the rules is part of German dna...
I spent a summer working at a bakery in Muggenbrunn in 1995 but doesn't look like it's still there now.

I love Der Feldberg! Such a great little resort. Although I would probably whack the skis on today!
