Has anyone got any route recommendations in South Devon. Staying in East Allington next week and was wondering if there were any routes local. Might manage to get up to Dartmoor for an afternoon, but the recently expanded tribe (4 week old twins) probably mean it'll be short local loops.

Having looked at the maps, there are some bridleways heading north out of the village, and was just wondering if anyone knew what these were like and what to add onto the end of them to make a decent loop.

Cheers,

Alex

Lovely area but i've no idea if there's any local routes. It wouldn't be too much of a drive to get to south Dartmoor, depending on holiday maker traffic obviously

Obviously try to get up to Dartmoor if you can but there are some routes around this neck of the woods (though you'll also be riding on road at times to connect the off road bits up) and they're all nice and dry at the moment. Also, the lack of rain has retarded the nettle and bramble growth so the green lanes & tracks are passable without ripping your arms and legs to shreds ๐Ÿ™‚

If you e-mail me (in profile) I'll send you some scans of local routes in the next couple of days, when I'm a bit less busy.
