We had intended starting a mountain biking center in Tenerife. Our property is on the edge of the Teide National Park on the Lomo La Jara designated route. The property has 5 beds and would be ideal for rural tourism. If anybody is interested please take a look at our family website:

Any ideas?

Looks lovely. Aren't there issues with bike access on Tenerife though? I thought it was largely off-limits to bikes?

A recent mag article (in What Mountain Bike, I think) revealed this is no longer the case and Tenerife is opening up oppur-chancities for MTBers...

Correct BAB, the Parque Nacional del Teide is all off limits but there are some awesome routes in the Anaga Mountains, Masca and Arico + loads more.

There is also a downhill/feeride park now.

Lived there for a few years and done loads of MTB'ing, you defo need local knowledge, if your a real nut try La Gomera as well, if you think Tenerife is hilly f00k me Gomera is mental. 😀

Looks nice...I'm going to have a chat with the wife...on the off-chance she agrees to the idea of going on holiday and me taking my bike!

Although this clip shows 4x4's on the Lomo La Jara route you can imagine what it's like on a bike!
