Has anyone got a chainring mark on their calf as a tattoo?
What size do folk go for?
36/bash - "all mountain" - fad follower.
42 - noob mountainbiker.
46/48 - old school mountainbiker or rugged touring type.
52 - proper roadie.
53 proper sprinter or more likely TDF wannabe.
Slow day?
rugged touring type
I was thinking about one a few years back...but since have spent all my money on bike stuff
It seems it's a bit of a faux pas if you're a roadie.

Well if it would wind up the roadies that's even better.
Yes Don, been off here for 3 weeks, have some catching up to do!
How was the appraisal Al? And how cool is the Porsche museum 8)
If you have a cat 5 tattoo you suck
Are you american? It's known as either a "4th cat mark" or "sportive marking" in this country ๐
Not happened yet Bear...and yes it was easily the best of the 4!
Are you thinking Lake Garda next year? Vosh told me I am in charge of planning...

I quite like 5th cat tattoo, it makes it sound worse.
its 4th you effin spooners. 4th 4th 4th.
bloody 5th cat.
'hey hank, can i get a 5th cat tat?'
bah humbug. etc.
I assume all the "cat 4/5 tat wearers are teh n00bs" gang just run a single 54T ring up front?
Bunch of chisellers ๐
Some people that ride bikes are so 'vegan'.
The 'Cat 5' tattoo... 'The Rules'.. Jesus flipping Christ. Who gives a truck.
My rules:
Get out on your bike and have fun riding it.
Should this not be: get out on your bike in pink and white see through lyrca and have fun riding it on your own as your friends don't want to ride behind you? ๐My rules: Get out on your bike and have fun riding it.

So my summer kit isn't compatible with the Scottish definition of summer... get's plenty of attention down here ๐
I was thinking about this today. If I were to get a chainring it wouldnt look right because my bike is 1x9 so would I be better off with a red rotor on my left leg?
I've got a chainring tattoo in permanent scar tissue on my right calf, does that count?
(bike landed on top of me in a crash about 15 years ago, chainring went into my leg. It was really rather painful).
Don't need one.
Everytime I go out on my road bike I get one for free.
It can even last a few days if don't wash it!
Rotor?......

Tattoos are just, like, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO gay. Branding is where its at. Cattle style. MTFU!!! Choose a chainring, heat it up in a load of hot coals then slam it on your leg!!
I've got a rotor brand on the small of my back. I fell of going down a hill, the bike landed on top of me, I got branded.
I also have a row of pin marks on the front of my shin, they look cool as well.
I'm well gnarly me...
I've got the Noob Mountainbiker. First merida marathon I did in Selkirk. Didn't even realise I had done it until I finished.

Yep, Garda will be ace 8)
Cool. I'll email round. I fancy a road tour there too.
