Has anyone got a chainring mark on their calf as a tattoo?

What size do folk go for?

36/bash - "all mountain" - fad follower.
42 - noob mountainbiker.
46/48 - old school mountainbiker or rugged touring type.
52 - proper roadie.
53 proper sprinter or more likely TDF wannabe.

It seems it's a bit of a faux pas if you're a roadie.

If you have a cat 5 tattoo you suck. Got a mate who ends up with massive ones, take the piss out of him constantly for it.

Also,

Well if it would wind up the roadies that's even better.

Yes Don, been off here for 3 weeks, have some catching up to do!

Are you american? It's known as either a "4th cat mark" or "sportive marking" in this country ๐Ÿ™‚

I quite like 5th cat tattoo, it makes it sound worse.

Some people that ride bikes are so 'vegan'.

The 'Cat 5' tattoo... 'The Rules'.. Jesus flipping Christ. Who gives a truck.

My rules:

Get out on your bike and have fun riding it.

Should this not be: get out on your bike in pink and white see through lyrca and have fun riding it on your own as your friends don't want to ride behind you? ๐Ÿ˜›

I was thinking about this today. If I were to get a chainring it wouldnt look right because my bike is 1x9 so would I be better off with a red rotor on my left leg?

I've got a chainring tattoo in permanent scar tissue on my right calf, does that count?
(bike landed on top of me in a crash about 15 years ago, chainring went into my leg. It was really rather painful).

Don't need one.

Everytime I go out on my road bike I get one for free.

It can even last a few days if don't wash it!

Tattoos are just, like, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO gay. Branding is where its at. Cattle style. MTFU!!! Choose a chainring, heat it up in a load of hot coals then slam it on your leg!!

I've got a rotor brand on the small of my back. I fell of going down a hill, the bike landed on top of me, I got branded.

I also have a row of pin marks on the front of my shin, they look cool as well.

I'm well gnarly me...

I've got the Noob Mountainbiker. First merida marathon I did in Selkirk. Didn't even realise I had done it until I finished.
