I've now got lots of bikes in the garage. 4 of mine, plus the wifes and 3* kids.

So, what's the best way to store them?
Ideas please

cheap hooks into the joists = 4 bikes hung up + 4 leaned against each other underneath for me.

can't do that - concrete garage so only a couple of spans across it - and it's a tin roof on top of that.

hooks into the walls then, you can still hang the bikes from their front wheels.

Assuming the walls can be drilled, hang big hooks on the walls.with some careful packing, you should be able to get two bikes hanging next to each other. A couple of bikes stacked underneath.

Repeat along the wall for others.

I'm not a big fan of hanging bikes vertically by their wheels - they seem to take up just as much room as if they are stacked against the wall.

Sort of depends what else you have in there, and how often you need access to all your bikes.

We've got 4 hanging from the wall using hooks I bought in Halfords.

The hooks are very good, with a rubber sleeve to protect the wheel.

They were about £8-£9 each if I remember correctly.

I use hooks on the back wall:

Varying heights means the bars overlap the frames. Probably not the most efficient but works well enough.
