[Closed] Bike shop in the Chilterns?

[#9976481]

I need to get a tubeless tyre inflated which just won't go with a trackpump (it won't, trust me). While I've been off the bike recently, it seems that all the local bike shops have closed.

Anyone know a bikeshop in the Chilterns ideally near Amersham/near a station where I can get it reflated? I really am shocked all the shops seem to have gone.

Is Dee's cycles in Amersham town centre closed then?  They should be able to cope with inflating a tyre.

Mountain Mania, Tring?  Bet there is something closer to Amersham if you google it.

Or....Invest in a compressor?  How many trips to a bikeshop before it's paid for itself (plus the hassle etc).

Timid - They were closed for a while I think but I just checked their site and they do seem to be open again. I think it was a refurbishment. Thanks for the tip, I'll give them a call.

Thanks both - MountainMania a bit out of the way but will bear them in mind if Dees can't help.

Compressor - any recommendations.....? Gadgets.....!!

Lovelo in Berkhamstead is not far from Train Station. Which line are you on?

The Amersham one, Slacks. Would easily ride up to Berkhamstead but tyre is kyboshed.

Setting off for Dees now, let's see how it goes.

Not an expert, but you can get a Stanley in Screwfix for ~£100, which is more than up to the job.  Certainly solved my issues with difficult tubeless combinations.

Thanks angeldust.

Just back from Dees - all sorted! Good to use a LBS, I'm really shocked how many have closed this last year.
