I'd like to get a full service on my bike before undertaking a Coast to Coast at the end of July and wondered if anyone had any recommendations in the Sheffield area.

Yep, James is a top chap, can recommend Bike Garage.
Alex at bikerehab.co.uk is pretty good*. Near to city centre and he'll pick up/collect if necessary too.

do it yourself then if anything goes wrong you have the knowledge to sort it enroute.

if you are out the north side then Tony Butterworth's at junction Catchbar lane and Lepping Lane near the Owls stadium gives excellent service - do most of my own stuff but when haven't had time to do Mrs antigee's bike always fair and very helpful
