I'm heading up to the lakes soon and thinking instead of putting the bike in the car I might pop it on top of the rood. Is this any good

It's going a Fiesta if that helps.

It looks a bit flimsy, but will probably do the job - the chocks securing the wheels don't look very chunky so I am not sure how securely the bike will be held.
What bike is it? What size downtube? Depending on your frame, you might not be able to get the clamp around the frame - the clamp doesn't go to massive diameters.

What bars would you be securing it too? If you have aero bars, you won't be able to make best use of them, as these appear to only come with a U-clamp style fitting.

For a one-off journey it'll probably do the job, but for regular use it would probably be a false economy.

Cheers Stumpy, it's for my 29er. Think it might be best to pop down and have a proper look rather than internet shopping all the time!
